Here you will find out more information about me, what I stand for and
the reasons why I want to be your representative in State Parliament.
Those of us who live in the Shire know it’s a great place to live. As a long time Shire resident with two teenage daughters, I have chosen to live here because of the lifestyle and opportunites it provides.
Over the years of living in the Shire and talking to family, friends and residents it is clear that our way of life is under threat from the
mismanagement of the state economy and the neglect of critical local
infrastructure.
As the National Rugby League’s Chief Operating Officer I know how
important it is to take responsibility, properly manage important issues and
get results.
That’s why I’ve chosen to protect and improve what is valuable in our
area by taking responsibility to:
- Prevent downgrades to Sutherland Hospital ensuring it has
the nurses and services it needs to provide prompt and professional care;
- Fast-track the duplication of the Cronulla
to Sutherland line, fight for express services to the City and ensure a new train timetable meets local commuter demands for frequency, comfort and
safety; and,
- Prevent State Government planning powers from spoiling the character of our neighbourhoods.
Yes, I’m a newcomer to politics but I see that as one of my greatest
assets – I’m not a career politician. I am just an ordinary member of
the community who has simply had enough.
I believe a
local Liberal MP and a Liberal State Government can deliver higher standards and
better services on these, and other important local issues, through sound
economic management and fully costed, fully funded policies.
With your support we can turn NSW around and give Miranda an effective voice in Macquarie Street.
I look forward to meeting you in coming months.
Yours sincerely,
Graham Annesley
Liberal for Miranda
